Core Concepts

• **Crisp Logic:** A value is either TRUE (1) or FALSE (0).
• **Fuzzy Logic:** A value can be partially true and partially false, represented by a value in the range [0.0, 1.0].

Example: A temperature is **hot** with a degree of 0.8, and **not hot** with a degree of 0.2.
